Earlimart School District announced today all children 18 years to 1 years old in Earlimart are eligible to receive FREE school meals June 5 to 28. Meals will be served only at ALILA SCHOOL.

Cesar Chavez High Football to match up with familiar Taft High Friday in Division 4 playoffs

The Cesar Chavez High Titan boys football team will match up with familiar Taft High Friday in the Division 4 playoffs.

The No. 4 CCHS Titan (8-2, 4-2 in South Sequoia League) received a bye last week and will now face the No. 5 Taft High Wildcats, which beat No. 12 Roosevelt (of Fresno), 50-21.

The Titans will host Taft, which is also in the South Sequoia League, at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18 at Titans Stadium in Delano.

CCHS finished second in league play at 4-2, while Taft finished tied for third place with Robert F. Kennedy High and Wasco High.

The Titans and the Wildcats squared off Sept. 30, with CCHS winning 21-10.

The winner of that game will face the winner of No. 1 Selma High and No. 8 Wasco High. CCHS lost to Wasco Oct. 14 in SSL play 24-13.
