Delano woman, Frances Manalo Dando, passed away in January, known as “Sunshine,” a service is pending

FRANCES MANALO DANDO
May 1, 1933 – Jan. 29, 2022

On Jan. 29, 2022 our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother France Manalo Dando left this present life to enter into eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She
was 88 at her pas ing and had suffered from Alzheimer’ for the last several year.

Born on May 1, 1933 in S an Francisco, she was one of a family of 6. Though small in stature she was alway a large presence in the lives of those around her. She was nicknamed Sunshine as a child due to her sunny disposition to friends, family and stranger alike.

Above all she was a woman of immense faith and was always ready to share her convict ions based on God’s Word. AJong with her late husband Guillermo, she found faith in Chris later in life, but once converted began at tentling church regularly at Valley Faith Fellowship in Delano.

She wa preceded in death by her husband Guillermo Dando, son Steven Dando father P aul J Manalo(with whom she is pictured), mother Frances Manalo, brother Donald Manalo and sister Caroline Espineda.

She is survived byher on Gill Dando (Baker field), Phillip Dando (Vialia), daughter Suzette Dando (McFarland), daughter-in-law Melba Dando, granddaughter Audrey Shelly Dando (Bakersfield) and Kayla Dando (Bakersfield) and great-grandaughter Elizabeth Welch (Bakersfield).

Cremation arrangements are being carried out by Hi toric Union Cemetery of Baker field with interment planned for Frances at ‘orth Kern Cemetery in Delano. A memorial service to celebrate her life is pending and will be by invitation only to family and friends.

ln lieu of flowers, the family requests that contribution be made in her memory to Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org. Every cent given will bring us that much closer to curing this tragic disease!
