McFarland Junior High School proudly extends its congratulations to the remarkable graduates of the Class of 2023.
On May 31, a total of 229 students proudly received their 8th-grade diplomas, marking the culmination of their Junior High journey.
This year’s Valedictorian, Ariana Sanchez, and Salutatorian, Ethan Uribe, demonstrated exemplary academic prowess, earning the highest honors among their peers. Their dedication and commitment to excellence have set an inspiring example for the graduating class.
Additionally, McFarland Junior High School recognizes the outstanding achievements of the Top 18 Honor students, who maintained an exceptional 4.0 GPA throughout their 8th-grade school year.
These remarkable individuals are as follows: Amilia Callahan, Jacqueline Corrales, Angelina Flores, Bianca Garcia, Leilah Garcia, Andrea Gutierrez, Isaac Hernandez, Luzcero Elias Hernandez, Allison Leung, Glendha Navarro, Marilyn Nunez, Vanessa Maravilla, Arely Riva, Ariana Sanchez, Michael Sigala, Daiana Guerrero Tirado, Ethan Uribe, and Samuel Velasco.
The Class of 2023 faced unprecedented challenges due to the global pandemic, and their resilience and determination in overcoming adversity are truly commendable. Despite the obstacles they encountered, these students embraced the return to in-person instruction, showcasing their strength and perseverance throughout their time at Junior High.
As the graduates embark on their next chapter, McFarland Junior High School encourages them to live a life they will always remember and to create cherished memories that will last a lifetime. Their time as Sabercats may have come to an end, but the lessons learned and the friendships forged will forever remain a significant part of their journey.
